2014: The Beginning
SJK Enterprises started in 2014 when I, Sam Kirker, a 14-year-old kid wanted to buy a laptop. I couldn’t get hired because I was too young so I Googled, “How to Make Money”.
That led to selling some Precious Moments from the leftovers of a garage scale.
I sold everything my parents wanted to get rid of then started going to yard sales and thrift stores buying anything I could make money on – toys, game, and used clothes – then selling them on eBay.
2016-2018: Building the Foundation
By late 2016, SJK Enterprises was officially named, and I hung our first sign in my parents’ basement.
Over the next two years, we transitioned from selling thrifted finds to operating full-time on Amazon, first with used books, then expanding into the grocery category by 2018.
The move into consumables became the foundation for everything we do today: predictable, recurring, and customer-centric growth.
2019: Our First Warehouse
In April 2019, having long outgrown the basement, we moved into our first warehouse and hired our first team member.
That year, we onboarded new vendors, refined our catalog, and began introducing structured systems to manage growth more efficiently.
2020: Scaling Operations
By March 2020, continued growth pushed us to expand again, moving into the 10,000 sq. ft. facility in Machesney Park, Illinois.
With the new space came new capabilities: expanded fulfillment, faster throughput, and the foundation of what would become our most powerful internal advantage: FMS (Flow Management System).
2021–2023: The FMS Era
Recognizing that spreadsheets and manual coordination couldn’t scale, we built FMS: SJK’s digital nervous system.
FMS connects every stage of our physical workflow in real time from PO to inbound receiving, through production, fulfillment, reporting, and reverse logistics.
Built on a no-code architecture, FMS transformed how our team operates, replacing dozens of spreadsheets with structured, automated, and validated workflows.
2024: Expanding to Walmart
In 2024, we brought our eCommerce expertise to Walmart Marketplace, opening a new growth channels for brand partners.
By combining our operational excellence, FMS, and data-driven systems, we tapped into Walmart’s massive reach without adding operational strain
2025 and Beyond: Growth Through Partnership
Today, SJK carries over 800 products across grocery, pet, home, and industrial categories.
Our focus is clear: to help brands grow through operational excellence, smart strategy, and relentless execution — while protecting every dollar of margin along the way.
