A lesson instilled in me, Sam Kirker, from birth. Back in 2014, I was a 14 year old kid who wanted a laptop to play games and surf the internet. Unable to secure a job due to my age, I turned to Google for ideas on how to make money, eventually finding eBay.
A few weeks later, while helping my mom clean up a garage sale, I asked if I could list the leftover Precious Moments on eBay. She agreed. I took pictures, listed them, and a few days later they sold.
The initial success led me to find other products to sell, going to thrift stores and garage sales looking for toys, video games, and clothes.
In late 2016, the name, SJK Enterprises, was selected and I hung our first sign in my parents basement.
Over the next two years, we expanded into Amazon, initially focusing on used books, until we transitioned into the grocery category in late 2018.
In April 2019, having long outgrown the basement, we moved into our first warehouse space, and hired our first employee, Cadence, who remains an invaluable part of our team. Throughout the year we onboarded new vendors and adopted various technologies to fuel our growth.
A year later, in March 2020, we needed to expand again, moving down the street into the 10,000 sq ft building we call home today. The additional space and team members have allowed us to expand our catalog, add new vendors and products, all while investing in modern equipment and cutting-edge technology to run our operation.
Today, we carry 275+ products ranging from beverages, to snacks, and candy along with various pet foods and treats stocked across a network of 90+third party fulfillment centers throughout the country.
Our success is a result of our dedication to working smart and hard. We are proud of how far we have come, and are looking forward to the exciting future of SJK Enterprises LLC.
